Announcing the Earth First! Regional Rendezvous in the so-called Hudson Valley from May 30th to June 3rd.

Mastodon Valley Earth First! is happy to announce our upcoming regional Rendezvous in the so-called Hudson River Watershed for 5 days of workshops, music, plant and fungi walks, campfires, howling at the moon and, of course, effective direct action.

All over the world, battles are raging to defend the earth and its inhabitants. Despite the insatiable appetite of industrial civilization and it’s propensity to degrade, destroy and domesticate, we still see bold resistance and wild resiliency. Here on Turtle Island: the forces of colonization continue to displace and denigrate the land and water, under the guise of progress, economic prosperity and comfort. The ecosystems we are part of are under attack and self-defense for our communities is the only option.

We are planning this gathering for all earth first!ers, land defenders, and earth loving rebels!

We encourage families and kids to attend and will be offering childcare and activities for all ages.

Earth First! Journal

The Earth First! Journal is the voice of the radical environmental movement. Published quarterly, it contains reports on direct action; articles on the preservation of wilderness and biological diversity; news and announcements about EF! and other radical environmental groups; investigative articles; critiques of the entire environmental movement; book and music reviews; essays exploring ecological theory and a sometimes-lively letters to the editor section. The Earth First! Journal is an essential forum for discussion within the Earth First! movement. It is meant to be bold, controversial, amusing and diverse in content and style. You won’t find hard-hitting news like this anywhere else.
