Announcing the 2017 Earth First! Round River Rendezvous in California!

We recently received this announcement about the upcoming 2017 Round River Rendezvous. However, we know there are still more details everyone is anxious to hear–we will post more info here on the Newswire as soon as we can, so keep checking back!

6/16: Update Here

Greetings!

We are very excited to announce the 2017 Earth First! Round River Rendezvous in so-called Northern California. From July 2nd – 9th we will converge to share skills, strategize, and scheme to defend the wild. Come prepared to camp out and be as self contained as possible.

All across the continent Earth First!ers and eco-defenders are resisting everything from logging of old growth forests, the construction of toxic prisons and maintenance of existing ones, to an onslaught of pipelines that leave scars across the landscape and threaten the waterways. The extraction industry is enabled and emboldened by the current administrations attempts to push through many previously “defeated” projects. It is now more important than ever that we stand together for the wild and against the capitalist death machine.

We’re excited to see you all out here soon!

While you’re here, we need your support. To continue running the website, we need support from community members like you. Will you support It’s Going Down, and help build independent media?...so donate?

The Earth First! Journal is the voice of the radical environmental movement. Published quarterly, it contains reports on direct action; articles on the preservation of wilderness and biological diversity; news and announcements about EF! and other radical environmental groups; investigative articles; critiques of the entire environmental movement; book and music reviews; essays exploring ecological theory and a sometimes-lively letters to the editor section. The Earth First! Journal is an essential forum for discussion within the Earth First! movement. It is meant to be bold, controversial, amusing and diverse in content and style. You won’t find hard-hitting news like this anywhere else.
