About Twin Cities GDC
The Twin Cities General Defense Committee (GDC) of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) is a multi-racial and multi-generational group chartered in 2011 for two major purposes:
To continue to carry out the existing mission of the GDC: prisoner and legal support;
To expand the notion of ‘defense’ to the ‘defense of the entire class,’ and thus organizing and acting directly against oppression in our community. We often partially express this in our goal and and demand for us to build Community Self Defense.
