Building Renter Power with the Autonomous Tenants Union Network

On this episode of the It’s Going Down podcast, we speak with three representatives from the Autonomous Tenants Union Network (ATUN), which includes organizers from Tenant and Neighborhood Councils (TANC) in Oakland, California, the Los Angeles Tenants Union, and the Richmond Tenants Union in Richmond, Virginia.

We speak on the growing autonomous tenants movement, organizing and resisting eviction during COVID-19, the failures and successes of the wave of rent strikes that kicked off this spring, and how to build mass tenant power in the face of increasing crisis.
