Mississippi Stand Blocks Dakota Access Pipeline Drilling Under Des Moines River

From Mississippi Stand

As the clock struck midnight Mississippi Stand kicked off Global #NoDAPL Solidarity #NationalDayofAction with a double lockdown stopping the boring operation underneath the Des Moines River on the Dakota Access Pipeline.

As far as we know, this is the second lockdown ever to occur on a Horizontal Directional Drill. Both Drill lockdowns were actions led by Mississippi Stand and all of the Water Protectors who have locked down have been women!!

Both of the Women Warriors that locked down at midnight are facing $5000 dollar bail and multiple charges including a Class D Felony charge. If you are not able to throw down today in Solidarity with the #NoDAPL movement please consider contributing to our legal fund as a way of showing solidarity:

Please flood county Attorney phone line. These water protectors are first time offenders and the high bonds are being misused for nonviolent offenses. +1 (515) 433-0542

More information on this action will be released shortly.
