On New Year’s Eve 2019-2020, supporters of imprisoned grand jury resistors Jeremy Hammond and Chelsea Manning protested outside the Alexandria Detention Center. It has been confirmed that the noisemakers were heard and the protest seen from the inside. Protesters deployed fireworks, flares, and a laser in addition to noisemakers.
