Announcing New ‘It’s Going Down’ Zine Creator

You may have already seen one of these floating around in the wild over the past several months, but today we are excited to announce a new way to share IGD content and articles outside of the confines of the internet. Each day, an updated version of the website is turned into a printable PDF zine, ready for distro tables, autonomous community spaces, and to be sent through the bars to prisoners everywhere.

Simply go to https://zine.itsgoingdown.org/ and click “download here,” and a PDF version of the website will be created. Each zine runs several pages and includes the most current articles posted on the website along with social media posts from It’s Going Down, CrimethInc., and other outlets and projects.

As new articles and content are added to the site, each day a new version of the zine will be produced. This means that those tabling with the zine and sending it to friends and comrades behind the prison walls can keep people up to date with the latest news, commentary, and action roundups.

As social media platforms continue to become nothing but playgrounds for elite driven disinformation, data-mining, and the far-Right – while censoring grassroots reporting on autonomous social movements and struggles – it’s more important than ever to build our capacity to spread anarchist, anti-capitalist, and anti-colonial ideas from below.

Hopefully this new feature gives people printing out materials to share with those in their area a new tool in starting conversations and forging meaningful connections. Remember, you can submit written reports and commentary about what is going down in your area here.
