Despite some opinions, construction has not stopped on the Dakota Access Pipeline. The recent order from the Obama Administration has delayed construction on one small area of the pipe. However, pipeline construction continues elsewhere along the pipeline, and the company remains committed to building the entire line.
Numerous police are currently on site, some pointing assault rifles at water protectors. More than ten arrestees have been taken from the site, according to Unicorn Riot, but the lock-downs remain in tact.
Solidarity demonstrations are continuing throughout the country in support of Standing Rock. This morning, 11 people with Rising Tide Vermont were arrested blocking construction on a pipeline run by Michaels Construction, which is linked to the Dakota Access Pipeline.
