Iowa: Mississippi Stand Continues Actions Against DAPL

From Mississippi Stand

It was another day of successful action of interfering with Dakota Access Construction. For over 17 hours, three water protectors occupied the pipeline that is scheduled to be pulled under the Des Moines.

It was a beautiful day of resistance.

The Water Protectors were arrested and are in jail now. Federal charges may be pressed in the morning according to our Jail Support.

Please donate to both legal and camp funds so we may continue onward.

Interview from one water protectors risking their lives for the rest of us.
Three water protectors are currently in the pipe that was scheduled to be pulled through the Des Moines River.

After deployment last night Dakota Access began banging on the pipe, playing loud noises throughout the pipe, and throwing water down the pipe to harm and discourage these brave souls.
We need more people down here to ensure their safety. 130 L Road in Boone County.

We are outside the pipe occupation where water protectors have been inside piping for over 8 hours! Join us and stand in solidarity with those risking their lives to protect sacred water!

This morning @2AM in Boone county, IA, 3 of our water protectors climbed into the pipes and put their bodies as obstructions to prevent the construction from completing the pullback process under the Des Moines river. As of now, 7:30AM, they are still in the pipes and will be occupying indefinitely, risking their lives to protect water for us all. Stay tuned for what transpires! We love you water protectors!
