No New Animal Lab Drops Banner in Center of Skanska CEO’s Home Town

From No New Animal Lab

During the Thursday morning commute hours, a banner appeared over the bustling intersection of Main Street and New York Avenue of Huntington, NY, home to Skanska USA CEO and President Richard Cavallaro who resides at 6 Castle Harbor Road. Amidst the festival banners hanging throughout the town, this one brought the serious message to Huntington residents that a facilitator of animal torture lives among them.

Earth First! Newswire Notes: Skanska is the construction company that has begun work building an underground animal testing laboratory at the University of Washington in Seattle. Activists around the country and around the world have been pressuring Skanska and the university to cancel their plans to build the lab. Actions have included office disruptions, home demonstrations, civil disobedience, and more. On October 2, animal advocates from around the country will converge in Seattle for their second March on the University of Washington.
