Announcing a new documentary on mutual aid organizing in so-called Richmond, Virginia.
Check out this fantastic new documentary (54:20 mins) that follows the growth of mutual aid work in Richmond, VA shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the area. In addition to meeting the people behind the project and learning all the different ways people have been able to contribute their skills, we see the project expanded from food and supplies distribution to incorporate a hotline, mini-grants program and more. Practical, inspiring and informative, and an excellent primer for people interested in getting involved in mutual aid in their communities.
Thank you Richmond Mutual Aid Disaster Relief and Mutual Aid Disaster Relief!
