Report from anarchists part of the Neighborhood Anarchist Alliance, who discuss recent activity in support of the prison strike.
The Neighborhood Anarchist Alliance have been flyering, stickering, tabling, and screening shows for six weeks in downtown Eugene. This is an effort to boost the voices of the incarcerated prison strikers. We have gotten some great responses from pedestrians who have all been very interested and supportive!
Last Friday, we had a larger event for the 1st Annual Nat Turner Day and invited Community Armed Self Defense to table along with us. We printed radical slogans and images on t-shirts for interested folks, engaged in a variety of conversations, blasted some killer latinx hip-hop, and screened a couple episodes of Trouble. Sorry no pictures, but there were about 25 people organizing the whole thing and many more pedestrians that stopped to chat and grab some lit and a t-shirt.
August 25th, we are tabling info on the prison strike again downtown and will be screening a documentary about Mumia Abu-Jamal, called “The Long Distance Revolutionary” at 7pm.
