Buy A Hammock Made by Mexican Anarchist Prisoner Miguel Peralta to Support

It’s summer! Time to relax, sit in the shade, and take a break.

With that in mind, and in the spirit of June 11th, an international day of solidarity with long-term anarchist prisoners, IGD is proud to announce in collaboration with comrades in Mexico, hammocks made for summer by Mexican anarchist prisoner Miguel Peralta!

While we’re no fans of prison labor, these hammocks, designed and made by Peralta were created for the purpose of selling on the outside to raise money to support him during his time inside. Only three are available and proceeds after shipping will all go direct to Miguel. Each orders comes with an English language zine of Miguel’s writings, some of which you can find on It’s Going Down.

From the product description:

Pick up a beautiful handmade hammock from Mexican anarchist prisoner Miguel Ángel Peralta Betanzos. Miguel is currently being held in Cuicatlán prison in the state of Oaxaca. He will soon face sentencing for trumped-up charges relating to his defense of the autonomy of his indigenous community of Eloxochitlán de Flores Magón, the birthplace of the Flores Magón brothers. With only three in stock, all funds (except shipping) will go directly to Miguel to help with his legal costs and survive inside. Each handmade hammock comes with an English-language zine of Miguel’s writing and background information about Eloxochitlán.
