Coordinated Sticker / Wheatpaste Action For Trans Lives

We are a horizontally organized network of leftist and anarchist artists across North America. Our collective goal is to spread messages of solidarity in the real world, making them visible to common people on the street. Our group was formed after several high-profile incidents of racist and fascist stickerings which disturbed communities and made a hateful ideology more visible. Our strategy is to counter this by posting our own art, sowing messages of social justice and resistance like seeds.

Art is a very simple way of taking part in the social revolution. It’s accessible, relatively inexpensive, and allows you to express yourself in an act of labor, a pleasure which is becoming harder to find within the system of capitalism. Art is also accessible— to our comrades who may not be able to take part in a protest, direct action, or occupation, they can take action by making art, providing a valuable source of morale and visibility.

For our first action, we coordinated a sticker / wheatpaste action on March 31st, for the Day of Trans Visibility. We believed it was urgent to support our trans comrades during this cruel and oppressive political era, as rates of violence and discrimination against trans people have increased.

We put up stickers and flyers in at least five confirmed cities across the United States, in all regions. The midwest, the west coast, the deep south, the east coast. We urge others to form their own street groups in their communities, and join us in our goal of reclaiming the public space for messages of justice and resistance. Bring your ideas to the streets.
