In the twilight of December 11, 2017, a banner, moved by all banner-drops everywhere and to come, emerged from atop the ICE-y anti-black core of the new $71 Million Durham Police Headquarters under construction.
Not a banner of or in favor of the law, but an abolitionist demand for liberation from and beyond the limits of law. It reads: “FUCK THE COVERUP, FUCK THE POLICE, FEAR THE PEOPLE FREE ABDUL BURNETTE.”
Abdul remains kidnapped, we remain incalculably in the wake, incalculably improvising a never individual break-in out of this world. We traced and drenched the concrete corridors of the building with printed letters of our demands which you can read here with more details about Abdul’s case.
