Hollywood, FL: Neo-Nazi, Neo-Confederate Rally Backfires Spectacularly

For almost 2 years now, organizers affiliated with Black Lives Matter Alliance Broward have been campaigning to bring down street signs named after Confederate Generals in a predominantly black neighborhood of Hollywood known as Liberia. Hollywood City Commissioners have been relatively slow to respond to these demands, but that’s changed pretty rapidly this week.

Local neo-Nazi and conspiratoid instigator, Jake Phillip Loubriel (pictured right holding Confederate flag), has been creating fake protest events in the SFL for a number of years in the hopes someone would actually show up and be friends with him. They run the range of “2nd amendment protests” to protesting the “BLM Soros Illuminati,” etc. As a direct result of Augustus Invictus and other’s efforts to make a failed stand around the “Johnny Reb” statue in Orlando, people actually noticed his protest event for once. Flaggers and militia types from around the Florida came down on Wednesday, June 21st to counter-protest the latest “Take Down Slavery Symbols in Hollywood” demonstration.

As seen in many parts of the country, a hodge-podge of flag wavers, kevlar wearing bootlickers, and neo-Nazis converged to engage in some hate speech against protesters which included elderly black residents of Hollywood and Florida State Congressman Shevrin Jones. At least one person was seen making Hitler salutes and a number of N-bombs and other racial epithets were made by the counter protesters.

Meanwhile, 5 brave activists stood up and disrupted the Hollywood City Commission meeting with chants and were arrested and charged with disrupting the peace. Hours after the protest began, public comments started inside the City Commission.

By the time the Commissioners spoke themselves, it was clear that the fact that a hate rally going on outside City Hall was having an impact. Even Commissioners that had opposed the name changes waxed apologetic and fell back on “relying on the process” that would eventually see the names changed. They seemed visibly upset and the Vice Mayor even cried a little. Ultimately the Commission did not vote on the street signs but acknowledged that an application had been filed to change the names and it would be dealt with in a timely manner. In the above right picture, a local area idiot who has been seen in the past wearing neo-Nazi identifiers carries a flag associated with “League of the South,” a supposed insurgent neo-Confederate militia.

Many places in America in 2017 seem to be somewhat resigned to allowing gun-toting racists free reign over their public discourse. In one of the most liberal cities in the most liberal county in Florida, this is far from a sure thing.

The response from the demonstration in the press was overwhelmingly geared towards the cause of the Black Lives Matter organizers and barely gave airtime to the visibly racist counter-protesters. Calling out their racism on social media has quickly led to an escalating series of events. There was no violence or really any other activities that left room for the media to paint the BLM activists in a bad light, as the media is usually too happy to do.

Activists at the protest posted the picture above showing a Hollywood Police Department Officer hugging some militia people. These militia-people also posted a livestream of the event where you can see the cop agreeing with their complaints around “anti-Confederates” and talked about fighting the “antifa,” which was certainly not anywhere around despite the heavy armor most counter-protesters were wearing.

State Congressman Shevrin Jones was also present, and made the following statement not long after:

The result was a remarkable second day of bad press for the so-called Confederate supporters. We wouldn’t want to spoil the news too much, but the word is that Lee, Forrest, and Hood street in Hollywood won’t last the summer thanks to an enormous amount of disgust at the racism and hatred seen at the Hollywood counter-protest.

Meanwhile, militia bootlickers created still more fake outrage by ridiculously claiming that “Hug Cop” had been suspended, and “Andre Parras,” pictured right, is calling for a “Hug a Cop” demonstration tomorrow in Hollywood. We wish them well as these morons seem incapable of doing anything other than to ensure that the City of Hollywood will rush to take down these street names, if only to get these parachuting whack jobs out of their City.

So-called Confederate supporters cannot seem to learn from history, as the exact same scenario unfolded in Orlando just a few weeks ago (to say nothing of the Civil War). Good luck with all that.
