Spring is here and IGD has been busy. As you have been reading in our previous monthly reports, our hits have continued to rise, our social media platforms keep growing, and our site continues to be a hub of activity.
We also want to take a second to state that we appreciate the comrades that have reached out in the past few weeks to offer constructive critique of IGD. This project can be a stressful ass body of work. Everyday we get a flood of emails ranging from death threats, notifications that our website is going to be reported to everyone from Jesus to the FBI, people thanking us and wanting to know more, to a slew media requests. Knowing that people out there aren’t just consuming this project but are thinking about it and wanting it to be better is a good sign, and we hope that such healthy communication continues.
We realize that the more of a spotlight is put on us, as well as the more people visiting the site (now well over half a million original viewers per month), also puts more pressure on us to present our movement in the best light possible and to live up to the ethics and principles that we all old dear. We aren’t perfect and we will and do make mistakes and that is why feedback is also very important. Above all, we want It’s Going Down to be the best that it can be in order to give crews, groups, organizations, and individuals on the ground doing the real work the media tools and coverage that they need. And, while we find people calling us “WorldStar for anarchists,” or “the Breitbart of the far-Left” humorous, we don’t want to sacrifice our politics and principles for Facebook shares. So, if you see something that rubs you the wrong way, spot a spelling error boo boo, and in general just want to question our direction or editorial position, please let us know! Email us at: info [at] itsgoingdown [dot] org. And again, if you have a column, podcast, essay, or project ideas, get at us!
Being that we are already halfway through April we want to dispense with the regular monthly roundups of hits, top articles, numbers, and announce that we have now have sticker packs and a brand new t-shirt! By ordering, you are ensuring that IGD will be around in the future, will help us grow our project, and get some fly swag!
Sticker Packs!
Hit the streets of your town, cover up that weak-ass Alt-Right bullshit, and help promote IGD wherever you go! Both packs come with every sticker on this page as well as a few extra goodies thrown in for good measure.
The first is the $10 WEEKEND WARRIOR pack, which features three bumper stickers, 5 medium sized stickers, and a bunch of small stickers. Order here.
The second pack is the $20 ON A MISSION pack, which features all of the stickers in the other pack, but gets you 3X the amount! Order here.
To order a pack go here and on paypal leave us a note that tells us what pack you want. Feel free to buy multiple orders!
New Shirt!
For our new shirt, we’ve teamed up with Pacific Northwest graffiti legend N.O. Bonzo to bring you this bad ass design. If you haven’t seen our interview with them, check it here! As with our last shirt, a donation of $20 will get this awesome gift sent out to you. With this shirt, we are actually eating a bit of the cost, so if you feel like adding extra cash on top to help us cover the difference, please do!
We have sizes SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE, and X-LARGE. We still have several shirts in stock for 2XL for our last design. Order here.
To order a shirt go here. Make sure to – LEAVE US A NOTE ON PAYPAL – that includes your shirt size and your address.
Please Help Us Meet Our Monthly Goal
Due to our meter counter being out of wack (we’re workin’ on it!) as well waiting for stickers and shirts to be ready, we haven’t been hounding the pavement like in the past months to meet our monthly goal. Having said that, we are now about $2,000 behind on meeting our monthly goal. Please, donate to help keep us going. Get a shirt, get some stickers!
Patreon
On May 1st we hope to announce our plans to launch a new Patreon account that we hope will allow us to build, start to pay more people to get involved in IGD, and also expand our project. Please look out!
