Greetings from my place of struggle, to the brothers and sisters in resistance in different corners of Mexico and the world
As the organization, Vineketik en Resistencia, we express our solidarity with our compañerxs who resist dispossession and the extraction of water by the company, Bonafont. The company is another arm of savage capitalism that has not ceased to rob and plunder the water of Indigenous peoples. The company’s intention is to enrich themselves without assessing the consequences on the people and our Mother Earth, for its irresponsibility and ambition commercializing the precious liquid that is the life of our peoples, our species, and our Mother Earth. Savage capitalism has turned the world into a giant market. It has put price tags on all of the natural resources that have been generously given to us by our Mother Earth. This is an unfair and destructive trade, a materialist vision brought by capitalism, which has used corporate propaganda and advertising to benefit of a few ambitious businessmen and rulers.
For this, we as Indigenous peoples have the consciousness and knowledge to defend our natural resources. As human beings, we know that we have the responsibility to protect our Mother Earth and our families who are resisting against the giant monster of capitalism.
Out with Bonafont!
No to plunder!
Yes to life!
Sincerely,
Vineketik en Resistencia
Marcelino Ruiz Gómez
