Protests have been ongoing in St. Louis, MO, after police executed a violent raid on the home of Isaiah “Vinny” Hammett. During the raid, police threw in flash bang grenades, and Vinny, who took care of his grandfather, told him that he feared the house was being attacked, and soon after, Vinny was killed by police. The last several nights, demonstrations have erupted in St. Louis. The following is an appeal for funds from Vinny’s family.
On June 7th 2017, Isaiah “Vinny” Hammett was gunned down by the St. Louis City Police. This is a fund for his funeral costs and the costs incurred by the family in their struggle to get justice for Isaiah. We can’t let his name disappear from our lips and our thoughts. This could be anyone of us.
Say his name in the streets, say it in your prayers, say it in a chant, write it on the walls!
If there’s no justice, there will be no peace!
