The organization Vineketik en Resistencia condemns the cowardly assassination of the compañero, Simón Pedro Pérez López, a defender of human rights and Indigenous peoples.

You will always be in our hearts. The seeds that you planted will always be present in our struggle and resistance.

We embrace and express our solidarity with your family, which is our family. We also embrace and send our condolences to the compañeros of Las Abejas de Acteal.

We demand that the Mexican government and Mexican State stop the violence against Indigenous peoples, land and human rights defenders. We demand justice, and punishment against those responsible.
