On Friday a small group of about 35 folks marched from the downtown Durham library to the jail, in solidarity with recent clashes with police in Minneapolis, Chicago, and elsewhere.
At the jail they joined up with about 50 more folks participating in the last of over 30 weekly demos at the jail, where family members, friends, and comrades have been protesting conditions and successfully fought the jail lockback.
On Monday more folks will be trolling the County Commissioners’ meeting downtown at 7pm, 200 E. Main St., 2nd floor, to keep the pressure on.
