Maryland: Lockdown Against Dominion Energy Clearing Trees for Fracked-Gas

Following report comes from a press release about a lock down action against Dominion Energy in rural Maryland.

This morning a person locked-down to a tractor that was placed as a blockade at the entrance of a proposed fracked-gas compressor station site in Maryland. The action stopped Dominion Energy from clearing trees at the site.

Community members including kids ranging from toddlers to teenagers joined the demonstration to protest against the fracked-gas compressor station that would feed Dominion’s Cove Point LNG export facility. This was the second community blockade at the site in the past week.

The action successfully blockaded the entrance to the site for several hours. Ultimately the action ended with no arrests being made.
