To the compañeros in solidarity from below and to the left:
On April 10 of this year, our compañero Luis Fernando Sotelo was notified that the injunction filed by his defense team against his re-sentencing, which reduced his term to 13 years and 15 days in prison, had been admitted into court. With the injunction we seek our compañero’s pardon and absolute freedom. The injunction was admitted by the Second Collegiate Court on Criminal Matters, file 97/2017.
The injunction is the last recourse Luis Fernando Sotelo has in order to gain his freedom. It is essential to remember that the fight for the freedom of our political prisoners should be a legal-political fight, only in that way, with legal resources but also with social pressure, will we achieve the release of our compañero. Which is why:
WE CALL ON:
ALL NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS, COLLECTIVES AND INDIVIDUALS IN SOLIDARITY, FROM WHEREVER THEY ARE OR THROUGH THE CONSULATES IN THEIR COUNTRIES, TO MAKE CALLS, SEND LETTERS AND EMAILS TO THE SECOND COLLEGIATE COURT ON CRIMINAL MATTERS:

TO EXERCISE PRESSURE DEMANDING THE PARDON AND TOTAL FREEDOM OF OUR COMPAÑERO LUIS FERNANDO SOTELO ZAMBRANO, and similarly, in your own way, to publicly call for Luis Fernando Sotelo’s immediate and absolute freedom.
This is the last legal recourse our compañero has to gain his freedom. We call on your solidarity to show this system that our compañero is not alone. This is just one proposal of many that will be released in the coming days. We ask for you to be alert to our compañero’s situation and other activities that can be done. Declarations, public actions, as well as mobilizations, are essentials in the struggle for the freedom of our prisoners.
UNTIL WE ARE ALL FREE!
MAY OUR RAGE UNITE!
MAY THE WIND BLOW!
MAY THE STORM INTENSIFY!
