The following report and photo was anonymously submitted to It’s Going Down.
In solidarity with Unist’ot’en camp, some anarchists hung a banner over one of the major highways out of Milwaukee just before rush hour.
The actions of Coastal Gaslink (CGL), the Canadian government and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are unacceptable and we hope to raise the awareness of the struggles the Unist’ot’en camp–we can’t leave them to fight alone! No Pipelines on Stolen Land–No Pipelines Ever!
Here is a link to the original call to action, below that is the “Take Action Now” section from that article.
TAKE ACTION NOW!
1) Contact Doug Donaldson, Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, and ask that he issue an immediate stop work order for CGL’s illegal work on Wet’suwet’en territory. Phone him in Victoria at (250) 387-6240, in Smithers at (250) 847-8841, and in Hazelton at (250) 842-6338 and email [email protected]
2) Flood the phones of your local MPs and MLAs, including Green Party MLAs, who hold the balance of power and whose silence on this issue is abhorrent. To connect with MLAs in BC, visit: https://act.leadnow.ca/call-BC-support-wetsuweten/. To connect with MPs across, visit: https://act.leadnow.ca/call-federal-support-wetsuweten/.
3) Occupy your MP’s and MLA’s offices starting on Thursday Jan 31 and continuing until they immediately stop illegal work on Unist’ot’en territory.
