Loved ones of Damon Johnson and Denzell Kendrick are asking folks to call ACJ health care services, warden Orlando Harper and County Executive, Rich Fitzgerald to demand that Damon and Denzell get the proper medical care they deserve. ACJ is notorious for it’s severe medical neglect; back in 2014/2015 eleven people died at ACJ. Below is a description of their medical concerns and a suggested script. Please call! They need your help NOW.

Damon Johnson, # 142824
Immediate need of Neurontin, a pain medication that prevents nerve damage. Currently, he is experiencing intense nerve pain, family members are concerned that he will experience permanent nerve damage. Mr.Johnson has been incarcerated for 3 weeks and has received inconsistent dosage of life sustaining medication. He is a cancer patient who has not seen a specialist or received a specialty diet he is required to have. His family has called the medical clinic and warden Harper several times without any result.
Denzell Kendrick, # 178273
Mr. Kendrick has a specific kind of sickle-cell anemia, which causes him severe pain. He receives a high dose of pain medicine every 4 hours. Via his mom: Jail officials have alleged that he is giving away pain meds, so now he is not receiving any. This will cause Mr. Kendrick an intense pain which we are trying to prevent. His primary physician describes the pain as ” being stabbed with a butcher knife and having someone pull it, slowly in and out” Mr Kendrick has been told, by jail officials, that when he is sick, that is when he will be hospitalized. It is important to note that he is already sick and his disease needs frequent maintenance, and cannot be treated only when a crisis occurs.
