Richmond, VA: Call to Action to Keep Fascists Out of Richmond!

The following is a call to defend Richmond, Virginia against various neo-Confederate and Alt-Right groups on Saturday, May 5th.

The neo-Confederate group, Confederate States of America (CSA 2), will be returning to Richmond, Virginia on May 5th. This time, they will have Proud Boys and Alt-Knights with them. A lot of the people that have clicked attending on the Facebook event page that CSA has created, were at Charlottesville on August 12th and caused violence towards anti-fascists and bystanders. CSA 2 has been in Richmond before, but their presence has been an utter joke.

Now, it seems like they’ve started working with groups that have fascists beliefs and are willing to do anything to have a bigger turnout on their side, compared to the previous times that they’ve been in town. The first time CSA came to RVA, they only had about 8 people show up. We mainly had to focus on the police harassing folks and unlawfully arresting people for masking themselves from fash. The second time was just one giant joke, which barely had a turnout (again).

I feel that we anti-fascist folk need to show up in large numbers to run these fascist scumbags out of town. Please, if you’re anywhere close to the Richmond, VA area, I urge you to show up and lets let these pieces of fascist filth know that they’re not welcomed anywhere!
