Following the somewhat surprising win for Donald Trump last night, some anarchists in Tucson built barricades in and around our neighborhood, some of which were set on fire. Furniture, particle board and sheet metal were painted with the words “civil war” and “antifascista,” among other things.
We would have done the same if Clinton won. Either way, we are about to face continued escalation on the part of authoritarians and white supremacists (state and otherwise) across the country. We need to match that escalation. Concrete actions toward neighborhood autonomy and keeping the state out of our daily lives will need to be a part of this.
Go hard.
